Mindful Education

Since 2005 mounting research has been focused on the feasibility and impact of bringing Mindful
practices into the classroom. A range of benefits for students and teachers alike are consistently being
reported by these studies including improvements in attention, academic skills, social skills, emotional
regulation, and self-esteem for student participants. Teacher participants report many benefits as well,
including improved sense of well-being, increased sense of control in the classroom and decreased
burnout, to name a few. This training introduces participants to current research, strategies and
experiential opportunities for bringing Mindful practices into the classroom, the home, and into the lives

of anyone hoping to be a more positive influence on a child's life.
